Oahu: Waimea Bay

spent a leisurely afternoon at waimea bay on the north shore building sandcastles and jumping off the rock! you'd never guess that this calm & sandy beach area turns into the home of some of the biggest, dangerous, most spectacular surf in the world by winter time... waves can reach heights of 30 ft!!

Oahu: Pearl Harbor & USS Arizonia

We've been wanting to pay our respects to Pearl Harbor since we got over to Oahu. Today on Father's Day, Dusty decided this is how he wanted to spend his day.

The USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place for many of the battleship's 1,177 crew members who lost their lives on December 7, 1941. The Memorial commemorates the site where World War II began for the United States.

Oahu: Ko Olina

We have been spending the summer in Ko Olina, a beautiful little area on the Leeward side of Oahu. It's been such a dream for Makena with these amazing Ocean Lagoons perfect for swimming, snorkeling, building sandcastles (& eating sand!!).
